Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Seth Ueleke, Dr. Jenny Artman, and Dr. Melanie Moore, who are licensed and experienced Concord veterinarians.

Animal Care Clinic stays on top of the latest advances in veterinary medicine and surgery and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Ueleke

Dr. Seth Ueleke

Dr. Seth Ueleke became the owner of Animal Care Clinic in the Spring of 2022. He joined Animal Care Clinic in 2016. He is originally from central Illinois, where he grew up and attended college and vet school. He practiced in southeast Michigan for 6 years following graduation, then relocated to Concord in 2007. He enjoys the intriguing and challenging aspects of small animal surgery as well as building long-term relationships with clients and their furry family members. He has a lovely wife, 3 dogs named Mario, Enzo, and Bristol, and 3 cats named Babbs, AJ, and Fergy. Dr. Ueleke enjoys amateur woodworking, Jimmy Buffett concerts, traveling to warm destinations, is an avid race fan (especially dirt late models) and football (How ‘Bout Them Cowboys??!!)

Dr. Jenny Artman

Dr. Jenny Artman

Dr. Artman joined the ACC family after practicing in Cabarrus County for 23 years. She attended Davidson College for undergrad studies and then graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Special interests include behavioral issues, the human-animal bond, and internal medicine cases. Dr. Artman enjoys outside activities and fitness, and she has completed multiple triathlons, long distance running and cycling events. She also enjoys music festivals (especially Bluegrass or Americana) and watching sports, especially college basketball (Go Wildcats!) and pro football (proud member of The Steeler Nation). She shares her home with 5 rescue pets: 1 Border Collie mix, Jackie, and her herd of crazy kittens (and 1 rescue human – Donnie). The favorite part of her job is meeting clients and really getting to know their furry family members.

Dr. Moore

Dr. Melanie Moore

Dr. Melanie Moore owned and managed Animal Care Clinic from August 2002 till May 2022 with her late husband, Gary. During that time, the business grew from a single doctor practice to a two doctor hospital, and a brand new building too!

Dr. Moore learned to swim as an adult and enjoys lap swimming, reading, watching movies, antiquing and playing with her spoiled chihuahua, Jack. She has two grown sons and one daughter in law she loves dearly. She is active in her church. She is currently working part time and plans to travel and do all the things she didn’t have time to do when she was working as a business owner.

Meet The Team

Julie

Practice Manager

Julie started working at Animal Care Clinic in May, 2022 when she and Dr. Ueleke bought the practice.

Julie is originally from the suburbs of Chicago and is still a die hard Cubs fan, even after living in NC since 2007.

Her hobbies are similar to Dr. Ueleke’s, as far as Jimmy Buffett concerts and cruising to places in the Caribbean. She also enjoys taking long walks on the beach looking for shells, hand crafting cards and making jewelry. In her spare time (ha ha), she enjoys being entertained by their 3 dogs and 3 cats.

Andrea

Office Manager

Andrea joined the ACC team in the spring of 2020 as a receptionist. In January 2023 she was promoted to Office Manager.

When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her husband & daughter, crocheting, painting, and creating handmade items for her online shop.

She has 3 very spoiled Dogs, and 2 super sassy cats.

Andrea’s favorite part of the job is working with our amazing team, and getting to know our clients and their pets.

Melinda

Vet Assistant

Melinda, lead technician, has been employed at Animal Care Clinic since 2000.

It is her passion to provide quality care for our patients, while helping our clients better understand how to keep their pets healthy and happy.

In her spare time she enjoys sports with her children and classic cars.

Melinda is owned by her two cats, Logan and Kyo.

Jessica

Receptionist

Jessica has been working in veterinary practice since 2003, joining the Animal Care Clinic team as a technician in 2008 after relocating from Florida.

When she’s not caring for animals, Jessica enjoys creating custom tumblers, reading, and painting.

Some of her artwork is on display in our clinic.

Jessica’s favorite part of her job is helping those who don’t have a voice and watching them thrive.

Angel

Vet Assistant

Angel joined the ACC team in May of 2016. She has been working in the field since 2010.

She has many pets that are also her family. Mya, Molly and Buck are her Pitbull’s and she has 3 kittens as well. One day she hopes to get another bearded dragon.

When she’s not working Angel enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters and boyfriend as well as cooking, baking, and cake decorating, traveling and gardening.

Angel’s favorite part of her job is being able to take care of your furry family members and assisting in surgery.

Tim

Vet Assistant

Tim joined the ACC team in 2019.

When he’s not helping our patients, you can find Tim going on adventures with his friends, playing paintball or playing video games.

The favorite part of Tim’s job is working with the doctors to help heal our sick patients.

Casey

Vet Assistant

Casey started at ACC in August, 2022, but has been in the veterinary field as a technician since 2008. At home she has a 12 year-old son and together they own 3 dogs: Gavin, Link, and Kirby; and 4 cats: Bowser, Yoshi, Ludwig, and Sky. In her free time she enjoys playing video games, watching true crime TV, and going to her son’s soccer games. She is currently studying veterinary medicine at UNCC, and has hopes of going to vet school in the future.

Vickey

Part-Time Office Administrator

Vickey started working at Animal Care Clinic in July 2015 as a customer service representative. In January 2019, she was promoted to Office Manager. In January 2023, she retired from her position and now works part time (1 day a week) as an Office Administrator.

Being semi-retired has given her more time to spend with her two dogs Coco and Jubal, her husband Mac, and spend time gardening and watching old movies.

Alyssa

Vet Assistant

Alyssa started working at ACC at the end of September, 2022. She was born and raised in Texas and moved to North Carolina mid-2022. She has 3 dogs – two Mini-Aussies and a Golden Retriever. Alyssa loves being able to take her puppies on hikes at different places around NC. Her favorite thing about her job is probably educating people about their pets and helping animals in need. Alyssa has been in this field for 4 years.

Ashley R.

Kennel Attendant

Ashley R. has been a part of the ACC team since 2021.

Currently a Senior at A.L. Brown, with future studies in Biology.

When she’s not here caring for our four legged friends, you can find her on the tennis courts, or reading her favorite books.

She absolutely loves giving each pet individual attention and care during their stay.

Nikki

Vet Assistant

Nikki started working at ACC in September, 2022, and she has worked in the vet field since 2014 while living in Texas. When she’s not at work, Nikki enjoys taking her 3 dogs on hiking and lake trips and reading. Her whole life revolves around her dogs, which is why she loves this field so much. Nikki’s favorite part of her work day is spending time with patients and making their lives the best they can be.

Jessica

Vet Assistant

Jessica has been in the veterinary field since 2010 and has always had a love for animals. She has 3 goats, Dale, Ella & Bella, 1 dog, Howie, and an orange tabby named Toby. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Addie.

The favorite part of her job is working beside the doctors to help heal the sick patients.

Tammy

Kennel Attendant

Tammy has worked for ACC since September, 2022 as a kennel assistant. Her hobbies are domesticating feral kittens and getting adult feral cats trapped, neutered and returned. She has 5 cats and her favorite part of her job is hanging out with dogs, since she doesn’t own one herself.

Mina Radovic

Kennel Attendant

Jasmina (a.k.a. Mina) is an addition to the kennel crew here at ACC. One of her favorite parts/reasons why she likes working here is getting to befriend all the dogs and cats that come back to the kennel, and treating them like her own. She wants them to feel safe and at home, even though they aren’t home. She has 4 cats and 2 dogs that she absolutely adores and considers her children. When her cat had her litter, it made her realize how much she was determined to eventually become a vet. In the meantime, she continues to learn and grow through ACC and the amazing staff.

Lucas

Kennel Attendant

Lucas started working for ACC in July 2023. His family relocated from Idaho to North Carolina in December 2022. When he’s not working, he enjoys being outdoors in nature, exercising, and caring for his Ranchu goldfish, Oranji, Pumpkin and Macchiato. He plans to breed the goldfish and start his one business one day.

Lucas enjoys working at ACC because he’s able to learn more about animals and how to better care for them.

Amanda

Receptionist

Amanda is new to ACC, but has worked in the field for 3 years. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her dogs. She has 3 dogs named Higgins, Ramona and Mudd. Her favorite things about working at ACC are being able to help pet parents and their animals, as well as meeting new puppies.

Amber

Receptionist

Amber is new with ACC and ready to start her journey with ACC. She grew up around a lot of animals–horses, cats, dogs, goats and so much more. She has always had a heart for animals and her two fur babies. Tyler and Toby are both gray cats. Amber just got married this year to her handsome man, Nathan. Some of her hobbies are playing the piano, singing, doing puzzles and spending time with the people she loves.
